Day seven
We awoke back in our cozy little side street hotel in Tbilisi. Misha had said his final goodbyes the night before, as family members were now available to join us on our local tours. There were tears, but I won’t mention names. We are forever bonded with our God-given driver, tour guide, and friend. If we return to Georgia, we will request lead-foot Misha to drive us around again.

Our first stop was at the entrance to the Bridge of Peace, extending 492′ over the Kura River. We didn’t see it at night, or from this impressive angle, so I borrowed this from the internet, credit under photo.

Once over the bridge, a gondola lift took us up to the old parts of the city.

We headed to the Tbilisi Museum.

We were returned to our hotel in late afternoon, to freshen up and be retrieved later for dinner plans.

I wish my camera hadn’t kept warning me that it was full. I feared a total crash of all my photos. Our dining experience included live entertainment of Georgian culture, including dancers and musicians playing Georgian music. Our videos were sadly poor quality.
You can watch a video of similar Georgian dancers.
What a magical evening spent with the loveliest of people, our Georgian family.

How to explain when God brings the bonding? There are no words sufficient, and yet you have given us such a beautiful glimpse. Thank you again for sharing with us from the overflow of your heart.

I think the binding began with the very first awkward correspondence in the early days of 2015. I had known about Liana, but when Lia reach out to me with such grace and gratitude, God gave me a love for them all that was beyond natural affection. I think He did the same for them with us. The bonding was beyond “natural.” How I wish we could return, but the world is a different place now. So I’m beyond grateful we got to go in 2017. It was truly a trip of a lifetime.

I was going to ask if the little one reminded you of Roma, but you already answered that! Terri

Roma’s DNA was obvious throughout this lovely family.
